News » Privately owned wood processing businesses can now apply for up to $5 million grant funding to advance and innovate their facilities.
22 December 2022
The
Australian Government’s Accelerate Adoption of Wood Processing Innovation
Program is providing $110 million in grant funding from 2022-23 to 2025-26 to
co-invest with wood processors, to adopt new and upgraded wood processing
facilities.
Applications
are open for grants of between $1 million to $5 million (GST exclusive) for
each application.
The
grants will support the medium to long-term sustainability of wood processers
by stimulating investment in upgrades to existing manufacturing lines and
support innovation to diversify domestic products.
The
grants will also support wood processing facilities to use innovative
technologies in their production.
The
grant round will offer co-funding of up to 40 per cent of total project costs,
with the remaining 60 per cent to be met by the applicant.
Projects
are not required to start in the 2022-23 financial year but must be completed
by 30 June 2026.
Applications
close on 28 February 2023 at 9pm (AEDT). To
