National Forest Strategy

Australia’s current timber shortage is adding considerable cost of living pressures and driving up the cost of construction projects across the country. The Australian Government is developing a strategic, tripartite partnership approach so that there is a constant line of communication between industry stakeholders and the Government to consult together on government funding and programs, capitalise on opportunities, and avoid duplication. Through these partnerships will come innovative investment making best use of the timber resources we have to make new building materials and put downward pressure on construction costs.
